Patrizia, a Denver, Colorado native, daughter of a famous Surgeon grew up with a love for all kinds of Music. Now a popular San Diego based Jazz Vocalist, nicknamed The Sultry Lady of Jazz by her fans, because of her naturally pure way of creating strong emotions in her listeners, is extremely excited to announce the January 27, 2007 National Release of her much anticipated debut album, 'ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE.' The album consists of an impressive collection of 12 Classic Jazz Standards and is set to be launched with concert performances, and interviews on radio and television programs. Patrizia is expected to introduce the record via several intimate showcases followed by a tour planned for late spring. This straight-ahead jazz album was recorded live on August 25, 2006. All of the compositions chosen were because of their extremely beautiful timeless music, and the emotional depth of the lyrics. Patrizia put together a stellar group of master musicians, consisting of Richard James on Piano, Daniel Jackson on Tenor-Sax, Bob Magnusson on Bass, and Ronnie Stewart on Drums. She calls them, 'My Four Outstanding Sidemen.' Each one knowing the role of their instrument so well, that even upon seeing the arrangements for the first time, the performances they deliver are truly outstanding. The composition she calls, 'her lucky charm,' embraces her passion and paves the way for the use of her multi-octave range, sensual lows, and rich vibrato in her renditions of the additional compositions. Throughout the album, she pays tribute to some of the greatest and most gifted composers and lyricists of our time. 2. 'THE SHADOW OF YOUR SMILE,' a stunning ballad, an intimate mix of vocals and instrumentation. 11. ' BLUE SKIES.' the introduction, provides an intimate moment with vocals and piano, then it swings. 12.'SEND IN THE CLOWNS,' Patrizia's voice intimately and delicately caresses each note, accompanied only by a poetically beautiful piano, which allows her to evoke just the right emotions. Listening to her sing is addictive, because she sings with so many ranges of emotion, which include romance, lust, passion, melancholy, wistfulness, anticipation, joy, hope, and sadness, holding each note until it has served her purpose as she gently eases into the next. Ably supported by Richard James, piano, Bob Magnusson, bass, Ronnie Stewart, drums, and tenor saxophonist Daniel Jackson, Patrizia swings through a selection of standards with considerable aplomb. The songs Patrizia has chosen include 'It Shouldn't Happen To A Dream'', ''An Occasional Man'', 'Lover Man', 'Blue Skies' and, of course, the title song of the CD. Patrizia pitches out correctly and sings the songs as they should be, with no undue histrionics. 'I Could Write A Book' is cooly done with solid accompaniment. Patrizia sings this number 'pretty for the people' as Mr. Prima used to say. Comping joyfully is Richard James at the piano. Daniel Jackson on tenor works the changes from bottom to top in fine fashion. 'Blue Skies' A clear and clean tone is the bottom line for this oldie and Patrizia gets after it in no uncertain terms with both clarity and style.
