WÃ¼rzburg will surely have a little-known musical highlight next to the famous residence and it's been painted by Tiepolo staircase by Balthasar Neumann. Here worked with Giovanni Benedetto Platti (ca. 1697-1763) since 1723 an important pioneer of the fortepiano in Germany. Still in Italy, he had the inventor of this new instrument, Bartolomeo Cristofori met, and also the WÃ¼rzburg prince bishops apparently showed a keen interest in it.
