Van Ghost is the sinister collision of fine art and grimy underground Hip Hop. Released in 2018, the album pairs Washington, D.C. MC ANKHLEJOHN with producer Big Ghost Ltd. for an 11-track journey inspired entirely by the paintings and troubled world of Vincent van Gogh.

Each song takes its name from a Van Gogh work, from The Night CafÃ© and The Yellow House to The Starry Night, The Red Vineyard, and The Potato Eaters. But rather than simply paying tribute to the painter, ANKHLEJOHN and Big Ghost translate that imagery into something darker, rawer, and distinctly their own. Big Ghost's ominous, cinematic production creates a bleak and atmospheric backdrop for ANKHLEJOHN's abrasive, unpredictable delivery and vividly street-centered lyricism.
