"The Sea Of Emotion" is the first collaborative studio album by Joe Satriani and Steve Vai as SatchVai. It is not merely a case of two solo careers sharing a record, but rather a collection of songs born from the direct interaction between the two musicians. Satriani’s melodic sensibility meets Vai’s more experimental approach, with both artists constantly picking up, modifying, and building upon each other's ideas.

Joe Satriani: “The biggest surprise was that we write in completely different ways, and that’s what made the project so fun and interesting.”
