Alexander Hulshoff has selected famous Schubert pieces, among them a number of songs including An Die Musik, Die Forelle and StÃ¤ndchen, as well as the popular Arpeggione Sonata, D821 and adapted them for cello and piano for his debut OehmsClassics CD. A former student of cellist Lynn Harrell, Mr. Hulshoff has established himself in recent years as a leading international cellist, his interpretations notable for their expressiveness and unmistakable warm and lyrical tone. His accompanist, Andreas Frolich, is an internationally recognized orchestral and chamber ensemble pianist.
