It is a product of spending a lot of time on the road together touring their last album Come Morning and a 10th Anniversary release of their debut album Let it Lie. They came back from tour energized by their live chemistry and tried to write and record with that same energy and spirit. The result is an album that is injected with the live energy of their shows, but also the careful tenderness and production work they are known for. The album is about figuring out what it means to be a consistent and present force for the people in your life that you care about.
