Dances celebrated the joy of life and were present in the various manifestations of daily life, always as a form of social sharing. The repertoire is extremely varied: from the 13th- to the 15th-century dances to Italian laude and pilgrimage dances, from Italian ballate to French ballade, virelai, and rondeaux, together with French and Italian instrumental dances that bring the listener into the middle of the 15th century.
