From New Orleans to Paris and festivals around the globe, the trio La Section Rythmique has played with some of the best in swinging jazz today. On this release, they offer a fresh take on standards of New Orleans jazz, combining elements of Creole, blues and funk. It is for good reason that this trio is Evan Christopher's preferred rhythm section as it developed it's personal sound informed by his knowledge of the culture and music of New Orleans.
