Detalles: Una antología de 3 CD de jazz libre/vanguardista. Los álbumes emblemáticos incluidos aquí en su totalidad son "The Shape of Jazz to Come" de Ornette Coleman, "Thesis" de The Jimmy Giuffre 3, "Live" at the Village Vanguard" de John Coltrane (incluyendo el controvertido "Chasin' the Trane"), "Warm Canto" de Eric Dolphy (su obra con flauta y clarinete bajo) y, desde la asombrosa fecha de 1956, "Jazz Advance" de Cecil Taylor, la grabación más temprana de la nueva música.
