DESCRIPCIÓN
Detalles: TOY se grabó tras la triunfal actuación de David en Glastonbury 2000. Bowie entró al estudio con su banda, Mark Plati, Sterling Campbell, Gail Ann Dorsey, Earl Slick, Mike Garson, Holly Palmer y Emm Gryner, para grabar nuevas interpretaciones de canciones que había grabado por primera vez entre 1964 y 1971. David planeó grabar el álbum "a la antigua usanza" con la banda tocando en directo, elegir las mejores tomas y luego lanzarlo tan pronto como fuera humanamente posible de una manera notablemente profética. Desafortunadamente, en 2001, el concepto del lanzamiento del álbum "sorpresa" y la tecnología para respaldarlo aún estaban a varios años de distancia, lo que hizo imposible lanzar TOY, como se titulaba el álbum, a los fans tan instantáneamente como David quería.
