1990 年と 1991 年に、エリック・クラプトンはロンドンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで 42 夜公演を行いました。1990 年には 18 回、1991 年には 24 回公演を行いました。これらの公演の間、クラプトンはロック バンド、ブルース バンド、オーケストラの 3 つの異なるラインナップで演奏しました。
クラプトンのブルースへの愛は広く知られており、一流ミュージシャンたちとブルースを演奏する喜びと感動は、これらの録音と映像からはっきりと伝わってきます。『24 Nights: Blues』は全14曲を収録し、90分以上の演奏時間で、LP2枚組またはCD2枚組で発売されます。CDには、ショー全編を収録したDVDも付属しています。エリックと共にステージに立ったミュージシャンは、ジミー・ヴォーン（ギター）、ジョニー・ジョンソン（キーボード）、チャック・リーヴェル（キーボード）、ジェリー・ポートノイ（ハーモニカ）といった豪華な顔ぶれ。ギタリストのバディ・ガイ、アルバート・コリンズ、ロバート・クレイがスペシャルゲストとして出演しました。
セットリストには、「Key To The Highway」、「Sweet Home Chicago」、「Watch Yourself」、「Have You Ever Loved A Woman」、「Black Cat Bone」などブルースのスタンダード曲の素晴らしいバージョンが収録されています。
