    エリック・クラプトンの生涯にわたるブルースへの情熱は、『ナッシング・バット・ザ・ブルース』の中で燃え盛っています。サウンドトラックCDには、伝説のギタリスト、エリック・クラプトンの1994年のグラミー賞受賞、マルチ・プラチナ・アルバム『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』のツアー中に録音された、これまで未発表だった17曲のライブ・パフォーマンスが収録されています。クラプトンの長年の共同プロデューサーであるサイモン・クライミーが、オリジナルのマルチトラック録音からこれらのパフォーマンスの音声をリミックスしました。

    『ナッシング・バット・ザ・ブルース』に収録された未発表ライブ音源は、『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』の重要な対比となる。『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』と『マザーレス・チャイルド』の両方に収録されている曲もあるが（「マザーレス・チャイルド」「スタンディング・ラウンド・クライング」「アイム・トーア・ダウン」）、演奏は全く異なる。また、『フロム・ザ・クレイドル』には収録されていないジミー・ロジャースの「ブルース・オール・デイ・ロング」やロバート・ジョンソンの「モルテッド・ミルク」、そしてスタンダードナンバー「エヴリ・デイ・アイ・ハヴ・ザ・ブルース」「フォーティ・フォー」も収録されている。
