En 1990 y 1991, Eric Clapton actuó 42 noches en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres; 18 espectáculos en 1990 y 24 en 1991. Durante estos espectáculos, Clapton actuó con tres formaciones diferentes: una banda de rock, una banda de blues y una orquesta.
24 Nights: Rock incluye 18 canciones, tiene una duración de 2 horas y 15 minutos y está disponible en 3 LP o 2 CD. El formato CD también incluye un DVD con el concierto completo. La formación del concierto de rock variaba entre 4, 9 y 13 miembros, e incluía a Nathan East, Ray Cooper, Greg Phillinganes y Steve Ferrone. El cuarteto de 1991 contó con Phil Collins en la batería.
Entre las canciones interpretadas destacan White Room, Layla, Pretending, Running On Faith, Old Love y Lay Down Sally. El concierto también incluye excelentes versiones: una versión con ritmo reggae moderado de "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" de Bob Dylan, una versión blues-rock del himno de Bob Marley "I Shot The Sheriff" y la gran canción de JJ Cale "Cocaine".
