Detalles: Kevin Puts es uno de los compositores más fascinantes e importantes de Estados Unidos. Su primera ópera, Noche de Paz, con libreto de Mark Campbell, fue un encargo de la Ópera de Minnesota. Se estrenó en 2011 y ganó el Premio Pulitzer. Una obra conmovedora y de gran fuerza emocional, se ha incorporado al repertorio operístico moderno con una rapidez notable, con representaciones en todo el mundo. La ópera está basada en el guion de Christian Carion para la película bélica francesa de 2005, Joyeux Noël, y su temática ficticia son las treguas navideñas en el Frente Occidental de 1914.
