Detalles: The Five Satins fue uno de los muchos grupos vocales de doo-wop que alcanzaron popularidad durante el auge del género a mediados de los 50, y su gran éxito debut, "In The Still Of The Night", se ha convertido en uno de los clásicos más escuchados en la radio estadounidense a lo largo de las décadas. Comenzaron su carrera como The Scarlets antes de convertirse en The Five Satins, grabando para el sello Red Robin de Bobby Robinson y luego para el pequeño sello Standord, para quien grabaron su primer éxito antes de que lo vendiera a Ember, sello donde grabaron la mayoría de sus temas más conocidos, antes de publicar temas en MGM/Cub, United Artists y Chancellor a principios de los 60.
