DESCRIPCIÓN
Detalles: Conjunto de tres CD. El segundo álbum de The Selecter, Celebrate The Bullet, se lanzó en febrero de 1981 como continuación del exitoso álbum debut de 2 Tone, Too Much Pressure, además de los exitosos sencillos On My Radio, Three Minute Hero y Missing Words. Tras cambiar de sello discográfico a Chrysalis Records, la banda regresó al productor de On My Radio, Roger Lomas, adoptando un ritmo más melódico y lento, a la vez que conservaba sus comentarios líricos sobre temas raciales y sociales. Los miembros originales Desmond Brown y Charley Anderson se marcharon antes de que comenzara la grabación, con Lomas y Norman Watt-Ray (Ian Dury) ayudando en el bajo antes de que los nuevos miembros James Mackie y Adam Williams se unieran para completar la grabación. Debido al desafortunado momento del lanzamiento original, el título de este álbum se malinterpretó debido al entonces reciente asesinato de John Lennon y al intento de asesinato del presidente estadounidense Ronald Reagan. Esto significó que las emisoras de radio no apoyaron ni el sencillo ni el álbum y el lanzamiento fue en gran medida ignorado. Este clásico olvidado de la era 2 Tone es una reedición oportuna y dará tiempo para una reevaluación de la misma manera que la reedición de Too Much Pressure de 2021 mostró que la banda era relevante.
