The sound created by the deep, rippling bass notes of the two double basses and Takayanagi's sharp, cutting guitar reconstructs the music of Albert Ayler and Ornette Coleman from a unique perspective, creating a powerful impact on the listener. The last activity as 'ANGRY WAVES' was on December 15, 1985. After this, the duo of Takayanagi and Saitoh began. In the same year, 'NEW DIRECTION UNIT' evolved into 'ACTION DIRECT'. Including the background behind Ino's decision to promote Saitoh as his successor, this work is a record of the turning point for Takayanagi in 1985, and reflects an important moment in music history.
