Night Fancy is Michael Butten's second release onFHR, his previous being the critically acclaimedrecording of works by John Dowland [FHR84].Butten, one of the UK's leading guitarists, haswon many solo guitar competitions including1st prize at Ivor Mairants Guitar Award andrecently the 2nd prize at the 2023 FranciscoTarrega Competition.The title of the album Night Fancy, was theoriginal title of Britten's Nocturnal after JohnDowland, Op. 70, which is featured on therecording.
