The Damned meets ZZ Top? The Motörhead of the Southwest? Something like that, sure, but ultimately The Supersuckers are their own thing, and on The Sacrilicious Sounds of... - and especially on the single "Born With a Tail" - singer Eddie Spaghetti's woeful country laments begin to poke more assertively through their raw punk aggro. About that aggro: this is the band's sole album with Rick Sims, of Illinois punk legends Didjits, on guitar, and Sims dutifully cranks up The Supersuckers' already formidable wall of overdriven guitars.
