Pistils is the debut offering from Sri Lankan/Australian jazz drummer and composer, Rajiv Jayaweera. It features eight thoughtful originals that draw inspiration from his country of heritage, Sri Lanka. There is a strong focus on melody and beauty throughout, coupled with intricate bass lines and rhythmic interplay.
