Men I Trust's Equus Caballus is some of their best work yet. The album is lush, gorgeous, and poignant...the songs always feel like they're on the verge of breaking your heart. The production has a retro '80s bent, conjuring up comparisons to Sade, Belinda Carlisle, and other silken-voiced, smooth operators. Equus Caballus feels like a world all its own, the type of immersive listening experience it's easy to get lost in. Lovely, captivating, and essential.
