DESCRIPTION
Details: Out of print in the U.S. Beck, Bogert & Appice was a super-power trio featuring guitarist Jeff Beck (formerly Yardbirds), bassist Tim Bogert and drummer Carmine Appice (both formerly with Vanilla Fudge and Cactus). This group was Jeff Beck's attempt at a power trio like Cream and Grand Funk Railroad. This killer 1973 debut album contains butt-kicking tracks like 'Lady', 'Livin' Alone', 'Lose Myself With You' and a superb version of Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition'. One of the highlights on the album is Jeff Beck's own version of 'Superstition'. On the Talking Book sessions, it was guest guitarist Jeff Beck coming up with an opening drum beat and Stevie Wonder told him to keep playing while he improvised over the top of it with a worldwide superhit as result.
