The profile of the early 20th century composer, conductor and pianist Alfredo Casella continues with the fourth captivating volume of orchestral works performed by the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Gianandrea Noseda. Casella's advocacy and enthusiastic promotion of the composers of the Italian Baroque era led to renewed attention to the works of Vivaldi among others. A fine addition to Noseda's ongoing series Musica Italiana, dedicated to championing long-forgotten scores by well-known composers as well as the finest works by altogether neglected ones.
