Recognized as one of the key dark electronic albums of the year, Girls Gang blends dark disco, EBM, new wave, and synth-pop with powerful vocals and strong themes of empowerment, alienation, and nostalgia. The sophomore longplayer is more song-oriented than the debut album, often featuring real bass and guitar, and showcasing a more vocal-driven performance from Dina that incorporates more singing alongside her trademark spoken words.
