From the dawn of the '60s through to the mid-'80s, Mike Hurst was one of British Pop's most successful all-rounders, enjoying huge success as a songwriter, singer and producer. Discs one and two focus on Mike's own recordings charting a string of singles across the '60s and '70s (many appearing on CD for the first time), including two hits from his time with folk/pop trio The Springfields (also featuring Dusty, of course). With 'Silver Threads And Golden Needles', they became the first UK vocal group to breach the US Top 20. The second CD combines two LPs made in quick succession for Capitol at the dawn of the '70s.
