DESCRIPTION

The Alan Parsons Project's critically acclaimed, multi-million selling album I Robot, is reissued in this 2LP heavyweight, 45 RPM Audiophile edition. Expertly cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, November 2024 on a customised Neumann VMS 80 lathe at half speed using high-resolution archive transfers that were made from Eric Woolfson's rarely played mint condition duplicate masters. The first pressing comes with a numbered Obi-strip. Pressed at Optimal, Europe's premium pressing plant. The I Robot album draws conceptually on author Isaac Asimov's science fiction Robot stories, exploring philosophical themes regarding artificial intelligence. Like other Alan Parsons Project albums, there were a variety of different lead vocalists employed including Steve Harley, Allan Clarke, Lenny Zakatek, Peter Straker, Jack Harris and Jaki Whitren. Plus, a selection of session musicians such as guitarist Ian Bairnson and drummer Stuart Tosh with arrangements by Andrew Powell. The album was a worldwide hit selling in excess of two million copies, achieving platinum and gold status in numerous countries including the USA, Germany, Australia and Canada.About The Alan Parsons ProjectThe Alan Parsons Project was a progressive rock music entity comprised of engineer/ producer Alan Parsons and songwriter, musician and manager Eric Woolfson.
