The transcripts of Sergey Rachmaninoff enjoyed great respect among pianists during the composer's lifetime. In addition to piano concertos, preludes, etudes and Variations on a Theme of Correlli, Rachmaninoff's arrangements were gradually becoming the composer's showcase.
