DESCRIPTION
Details: When talking about Cuban musical ensembles, whether small groups or orchestras, we must remember the first folklore groups, that is, the Septeto Tipico Nacional, which were the first to bring to the public the contagious rhythms - particularly the Son Cubano, whose rise began in 1920. They were and are two of the most famous septets in Cuba, the first "Nacional" and the second "Habanero." Of the two, the Nacional, directed by the famous composer Ignacio Piñero, was the one that turned the most musical pieces into hits during that era. What Cuban does not remember the composition, whose title this recording bears? - "ECHALE SALSITA," from the inspiration of Ignacio Piñero, and which he dedicated to his great friend "El Congo," King of the Butifarras, whose establishment they all knew there in the town of Catalina, in the Province of Havana. Other hits followed, such as BUEY VIEJO, DON LENGUA, ALMA GUAJIRA, LA BATIDORA, SE FUE LA MONTUNA, LLEGO LA TORA, etc. Etc., which are part of this vintage album. All these musical compositions were recorded at the Radio Progreso Studios in Cuba in 1958, with the idea of making a record that invites the listener to keep partying. Originally released on the Bonita imprint, a label based in Miami catering to Cubans in exile, this historic classic recording has been newly remastered for this exclusive release.
